Bio Sculpture Gel
Bio Sculpture Gel is applied as an overlay onto natural nails by a qualified nail technician. The permanent colour gel is strong and flexible, with a glossy finish, lasting for up to three weeks. Bio Sculpture Gel is an advanced nail treatment that strengthens and conditions nails. The flexible coating moves with the nails, protecting them, whilst allowing them to grow without breaking. Bio Sculpture is applied with minimal buffing and no primers or bonders so there is no de-hydration of the natural nail. Layers of gel are applied to the natural nail and cured under a UV/LED lamp. The nails are dry to touch once they are cured. It is a healthy nail system that will not chip or damage your nails, protecting and strengthening the natural nail in the process. Bio Sculpture is the original and market leading colour gel with a range of over 150 different colours.
An artificial nail is applied to your nail bed (usually sculpted beforehand to suit your nails) before being glued to it with liquid acrylic and powder. Usually it is glued to the tips of nails instead the whole nail bed. The result is a hard protective layer that can be used as a canvas if you wish to colour your nails.
Silk wrap nails are a type of artificial fingernail, a synthetic nail reinforcement that is made from pieces of silk material. Just as in the application of other material nail wraps, the small piece of silken material is cut to the size and shape of the fingernail and applied using a small amount of glue. Once the glue is dry, the silk wrap is buffed to smooth the surface, and the process is complete.
Silk wrap nails are often preferred over other artificial nails reinforcements because they are flexible. Silk wrap nails are often considered to look most like a natural nail, which is another reason they might be preferred over other types of artificial nails. They are thinner than, for example, acrylic or gel nails, which are notably thicker than natural nails. Silk wrap nails are usually not appropriate for those with a particularly active lifestyle. This is because they are thinner and more fragile than other types of artificial nails.
A lightweight plastic plate that follows the shape of the nail is glued to the tip of the natural nail in order to add length. Acrylic, UV gel, Gel Powder or another mixture is then applied on top of the extension and is usually ‘cured’ in order to secure the extension and add strength and shine.
Overlays skip the extension step, and instead of adding artificial length onto the nail, the strengthening mixture is simply applied directly onto the natural nail in order to add strength and durability.
